The cherub is more than just a porcelain figure. It is a vessel, a gateway for something ancient and malevolent. Legends passed down by those who know the desert speak of one rule above all:
Do Not Disturb the Collector.
The figure watches. It follows. If you break the rules, it will collect.
Rules of the Collector
- If you see the cherub once: Leave it be. Do not touch it, never look directly into its eyes.
- If you see it twice: Leave the area immediately. Travell as far as you can without stopping.
- If you see it three times: Burn sage, and put your hands and feet in the sedona sand for at least 10min. It disperses the curse.
- If you see it four times: Smash the cherub immediately.
- If you see it five times: Do not touch it. Do not speak to it. Do not look at it. You belong to it now. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HARM THE FIGURE, SMASHING WILL ONLY MAKE IT MORE POWERFULL
Those who break the rules have disappeared. Their belongings are the only evidence left behind, often containing images of the cherub’s face staring back. Always closer. Always larger.
